Pore Clearing BHA Serum

This review is for Pure Daily Care Pore Clearing BHA Serum. This serum has salicylic acid, seaweed extract, and haluronic acid amongst its ingredients. It is supposed to help with clogged pores and oil production while moisturizing and soothing skin. This product isn't as strong as using a retinoid, but I think it works pretty well. The serum inside the bottle has a cloudy look to it. The bottle came shrink wrapped. My skin isn't breaking out and it does feel moisturized.

My daughter has horrible blackheads and we were hoping it would clear her face. We’ve tried a lot. It did help reduce a good amount of her blackheads but could of been better.

So far I really like this! I've been using it for a few days, my skin seems to be doing good. I'll update in a few weeks with longer term results.It feels nice going on, and my skin feels nice after. It smells like hand sanitizer while applying, but not in a bad way, and the scent doesn't linger.The bottle is sturdy and nice, and the pump dispenser works well.There are no fumes or anything that irritates my eyes.It can be applied with your hands as opposed to needing a cotton, so that's great.The one issue I'm having is that I'm struggling a bit to spread it evenly over my face - it seems like it wants to mostly stay where I first touch my finger with it to my face. I'm still getting the hang of how much to use and how much pressure to spread it with, so this might just be an issue of adjusting to the product.

I like using products that include salicylic acid to eliminate breakouts as it works very well for me. I prefer a 5% or greater solution. This formula doesn't include the strength in the product description but it's probably 2% or less. It's fine to use for keeping your face moisturized and maintaining a healthy face between breakouts, but you'll need something stronger to eliminate blackheads and shrink pores.

My teenage daughter has tried this and it seems to do a good job. She has noticed her acne clear up a little bit. Not completely , but it has helped. Maybe after a few more uses it will work even better.

I usually cleanse my face and pat it dry, then apply this serum. It is sort of an alcohol-based serum, so it is clear and smells like alcohol. It applies a bit sticky if your skin is not freshly washed and still a bit moist. It does not moisturize, it might even dry out skin that is not as oily. It seems that it works by killing bacteria in the pores so that you don't breakout. I did break out once after using it so I'm unsure if it works. I have large pores and blackheads, it does not help that, it mostly helps in preventing pimples from forming.

This came sealed and in a bubble wrap bag. The serum has a faint plastic smell. It really brightened up my skin (not shiny). It does feel like a film for quite awhile, very faintly tacky. I postponed my moisturizer to try and time if/when that feeling disappeared, but I lost track of time, so I'm unsure. When I did remember later, I noticed my skin did feel more moisturized but also the dry brightness had become more shiny, so I'm not sure it does as well a job promoting a shine-free complexion. I have dry-normal skin and don't consider shiny skin a problem for me, so I can only imagine it would have been worse for oily skin. Overall, I liked this serum though and felt like it was working. And it's affordably priced at $18.
